words can cause bleeding….they hurt, diminish, and cut!

and lose his own soul?”

I am sure you know who you are….

ECLIPSE??

Comment:
When i was a little boy i never dreamed or thought about who i was going to marry or what my wedding day would be like. I just didn’t care. But now that i am older thats all i look forward to is finding my soul mate.  I’m only 22 so i know i have time but it just seems so hard to meet good girls… ‘good’ being the key word here. I don’t drink so i dont want to keep meeting drunk girls at bars & online dating just doesn’t seem natural to me so what am i supposed to do???

Sincerely,

Waiting for my happy ending

OMG  you are so gay…

[not that there’s anything wrong with that!!}

This goes out to curious George…

Oral Sex did not exist between married couples prior to 1950…sex was pleasurable but unvarying…

No wonder everyone ran naked thru the Sixties….kate

J…after receiving email today…went back into depository for most comments recieved..

Yup,

I got more responses on this kate letter  than any other…ever!

It seems I  blatantly stated that ‘oral sex’ was not evident before the

1950’s…mea culpa….

Most letters were from women -  demanding to know my source, for this accounting.

Surprisingly the responses were erotic in nature.

I confined my follow ups…. thru personal emails’ by request’

due to the sensual nature of the subject.

Thought perhaps this was the wrap-up to this matter…but here you are

3 years later commenting.

What is your actual concern, you mentioned being ‘old fashioned at heart’.

What has this to do  with what happens between the sheets?

Albeit, I allow this to be a private matter between you and your sexual partner,

remember  this proverb..{what makes a  happy marriage]

.”It is best to be an angel in the kitchen and whore in bed”.  love kate

Dear Kate,
Excuse me for reading this like what …..three years later!! Just had to comment, I found this amazing! Of course our generation is out of control ….completely done a wild flip here. I wish it was toned down a bit, not for me of course, but for the young generation. Way to much to soon.

Old-fashioned at heart,     Jeannie

dear ‘old fashioned at heart’…..Jeannie,

I cannot respond..without the letter  [fr. 3 yrs ago]  attached, or a facsimile of.

I have archives of every letter posted and commented on dearkate.com,

from 2006 on.

so if you could recall some sense of the letter, I would be delighted

to look it up and reply to you.

Thank you for your letter.   kate

Your letter made no sense  whatsoever.

What the hell are you talking about?

Did Rush put you up to this?

May I say  that ‘Bingo Wings’  sounds somewhat painful,

I really don’t want to know  how you  developed  this condition.

I wish you luck out there.   kate

BINGO WINGS?

Tuesday, April 20th, 2010

dear Kate,

I am not related to any of your readers.

I do not wish to become a professional reference librarian anymore.

I have located some indexes as well as the back issues of periodicals to

which you refer.

I will always remain a bit skeptical remembering that what you learn from someone

else may only be THAT   person’s version or opinion and critical scrutiny

is the order of the day.

Clippings, and memos about important happenings in my locale are

being faxed to you as you read this.

I remain cordially yours,  bingo wings

WAR OF INDEPENDENCE?

Monday, April 19th, 2010

Dear Glen or Rush whatever,

if memory serves me right…I recall “The Boston Tea Party”  [1773]  being mostly about

Britain’s 13 american colonies dumping Tea into the Boston harbor to protest taxes

fostered on them from their mother country… so   I guess some guy over here..today…came up with

today’s “Tea Party”  as some sort  of ‘homage”??  I get it!

Okay, so be it…I will play ‘devil’s advocate’  here and try to sum up what I think….it is the Tea people

are mad about. Did you know that the Tea Party is run by BIG insurance companies and

“Freedom America”  is made up of far right religious divisions??

[ and those extremists  brandishing placards saying "New World Order"   smacks of Nazism, no??]

Stop me if I’m wrong…It’s not so much an ‘anti O’Bama movement ….as it is an anti establishment

thing, right?

The Tax increase and the Wall Street Bail outs??

This Tax break [not increase]   is the largest in History..even larger than Bush’s tax break

but his was giving breaks    to only for those making over $250,000  {wut??}

O’Bama does not want to give these  rich… folks a tax break….he wants to tax the rich ONLY!!

[those making OVER $250,000]  makes perfect sense to me!

and plans to support distressed homeowners.

As  to Health Plan;  although this sounds like  something republicans would opt for…get this,

see right now   some folks just head for the E. R.  with their health problems..and ‘we’ as tax payers

pick up the bill…well sir…now our president has laid it out like this..

.”everyone must have health insurance…..

it will be mandatory and premiums will be based on income”  of course those below poverty level will still have medicaid..

NO MORE FREE RIDES = RESPONSIBILITY

and this will create jobs in the medical field.

Can you see where this is going…hope so….down side is the more people that sign up for ‘mandatory’

insurance… Insurance companies in the cat bird seat  right now…….but for now we  are definitely headed in the right direction…kate

THIS IS TO DANA!

Sunday, April 18th, 2010

I wanted to wait until I finished your book, “iWrite”, by Dana Wilbur.

Yet I felt so engaged that I just want to pass her message on.

At the time of writing,  Dana W. is an assistant professor of Literacy.

She teaches classes at Montclair University in New Jersey.

IMHO [in my humble opinion} I think she has hit on a very innovative way to

combine her students incessant texting, chatting, and networking with the classwork

that must be accomplished.

These 'digital natives', [her terminology]  are our future teachers, lawyers, doctors, etc.,

they are not a beligerent group ;   merely doing what they know  works.

Back in the day…when you were assigned a book, play etc. to read over the

summer break or even long week-end, you made sure to get the material

and honker down for an hour or two, read the book, make notes…and yes

sometimes even use cliff-notes to accomplish task.

Today the kids think nothing of ‘cutting and pasting’ straight off the

web, and honestly thinking this is how to learn..

This is called ‘plagerism’.

They are not taking the time needed  to properly ‘understand’ the info,

they do not find it necessary to take the time to analyze the material.

They simply cut/paste, print, and hand it in, their research is on-line.

But before I go too far from the text of the book..

may I say kudos to Ms. D. W.  for not condemning this.

She has actually created a way to instruct our teachers to combine

the strengths of the already accepted practise of texting 24/7..

and  shows them  how to use these very accessible tools, wikis, blogs and

digital storytelling to building a bridge between student’s outside of school use

and capitalizing on their engagement of new technologies.

How to capture the students’ daily literacy practices and develop them

for the kind of writing and learning so needed to continue their education.

I am not a teacher… but I found this book GR8!

relative strangers [oxymoron?]

Thursday, June 25th, 2009

Louis,

“What happens to a dream deferred……does it dry up like a raisin in the sun..?” L. Hughes

I could not say it better than this…follow your heart!  k

This is in response to Adrienne..

If you don’t know them, have never physically met…this is a stranger..

There’s no in between. A relative is a person connected to you by blood or marriage.  k
