Life/death?

Mr. B. R.
I just finished a volume of work by William W. Reade on such a subject..
To Paraphrase the author;
“The Martydom of Man”
“We walk apon the earth when living and are put into it’s belly when we die”
He went on to explain his thoughts..
Plants are dumb creatures — yet we feel a pang of pity for a flower trampled on…this emotion comes from our childhood where they were not merely fossils but we ‘believed’ in nature, all things that moved or changed…seemed to have a mind of their own.
There is something that resides within us, entirely independent from the body in which it is contained ~~we think that it is the mind, the soul, the genius, the spirit …which thinks, desires and decides even while we sleep, it is busy weaving thoughts in our brains and wanders into other lands, and converses with people while awake we have never seen!
Then where does this soul/spirit go when the Body is destroyed by time?
In our dreams …what is in our hearts becomes a vision as we pass into sleep we feel/see one who has departed in such a real sense ..that we feel we have been in touch with their spirit!
Thus the grand idea of Life after Death is Born..kate..
